About Chinelo Onunekwu — Business Strategist & Founder of EntrepreMums®
The EntrepreMums® Story

"I built this because I lived the hard version first."

Business strategist, systems thinker, entrepreneur and home-educating mum, shaped by years of building businesses around the realities of family life.

I believe a successful business should work with your life, not require you to hold everything together.

Where it began

"Mummy, are you happy being a business owner?"

That question, asked at bedtime by my son, stopped me cold. I was surrounded by business plans and family responsibilities, and I realised something I had not let myself say out loud: my work was not separate from my life. It was part of it.

I grew up watching my mother and grandmother build businesses while raising families. When my mum passed away when I was 12, our world shifted overnight. My grandmother worked through retirement just to keep everything going.

Those experiences shaped how I think about independence, choice and resilience. They also taught me early how fragile things become when everything depends on one person. I see the same thing in business: when every decision, answer and process depends on the founder, the business may be growing, but it is not yet creating freedom.

"For me, legacy is about creating options, for ourselves and for the people who come after us."

Why EntrepreMums® exists

Why I Created EntrepreMums®

I created EntrepreMums® because I understood what it felt like to build something meaningful and then realise how much of it still depended on me.

Over time, I realised the answer was not simply working harder, finding another productivity technique or adding another tool. It was better business design, clearer ownership, stronger systems and more intentional use of technology.

EntrepreMums® grew from that belief: ambitious founders should be able to build successful businesses without designing their whole lives around keeping those businesses running.

Work With Chinelo
What we believe

Financial independence and family life are not in competition.

A well-designed business should create more choice, more resilience and more capacity, not simply more responsibility.

EntrepreMums® is built on three convictions, and every piece of work we do is grounded in all three.

01

Business should create options

Sustainable income creates choice, security and the ability to make decisions from a stronger position, for yourself and your family.

02

Harmony has to be designed

Harmony over Hustle is not about avoiding hard work. It means building the business so that growth does not permanently require more of the founder.

03

Better businesses need capable people and clear systems

Sustainable businesses are not held together by one person. They work because ownership is clear, people are supported and systems make good work easier.

The EntrepreMums® Philosophy

"Your business should work with your life, not against it."
